To practice interview skill, I interviewd and asked my CM class mates-Mami and Hideki about the question "If you could genetically engineer your child, would you do so ?". The reason why I decided to interview them was to share the class together. The interview was took place in the CM class on December 14th.
Both Mami and Hideki answered the question "Yes." and the reason why they thought was that the genetically engineering would prevent childlen from congenital deseases( both physicall and mentally).
My comment on interview (process) itself was that I felt it easier than discussion because in interview, we don't have to express our own idea.
My response to the comments my interviewee expressed toward the question was that I agreed them. However, I am not sure if we are "right" or "Not". I think it is quite difficult to make a decision of such an important issue of the genetically engineering in such a short time of thinking. I think this issue is a sensitive and requires careful handling.

To that question, I also answered "Yes" because I had the same reason with you. I supposed that genetic engineering would prevent certain deseases and my future child would be able to live a longer life.
However, as you referred in your blog, we should not forget about the problem which may be caused by the technology.
I think it will be the most difficult issue that we have to consider seriously and deal with in the future.
